This is the blog for the Illinois World Labor Hour, which airs on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. CT on WEFT Champaign, IL, 90.1 FM. You can also stream the show live at http://www.weft.org, by clicking the link at the top of the page when it airs. It is the premier radio show for workers in central Illinois.
The Illinois World Labor Hour discusses contemporary labor and working-class issues, as well as local, state, national, and international politics that relate to working people. We also have a cultural corner, in which co-host Tom Thomas recites his poetry, freshly written and also from his published workers. Additionally, IWLH discusses labor and working-class history. The show has run for over 15 years, and was founded by Bill Gorrell during the Staley lockout in the mid-1990s. With Bill Gorrell, it is co-hosted by David Johnson, Bob Paleczny, Tom Thomas, and Jason Kozlowski. IWLH frequently has guests on the show, either in studio or via telephone, and plays news segments from Workers Independent News, and commentary from progressive author and activist Jim Hightower.
If you cannot listen live, we archive our shows at http://www.radio4all.net and regularly post links to the archived shows here at the blog.
